Welcome to 6Ks and a Mic. We are opening the door that most families keep shut – inviting you in for the truth, the tears, and the conversations that only happen when sisters decide to get real.
From “Family Ties” references to navigating cancer and widowhood – grab a seat. The chaos is just beginning.

We grew up under the same roof, but we didn’t live the same lives. Spanning a 22-year age gap, we are the ‘6Ks.’
We are corporate retirees and stressed Millennials. We are widows, survivors, educators, and rebels. We are the ‘Alex P. Keatons’ and the ‘Port in the Storms.’
We created this show because we know we aren’t the only family walking through laughter, loss, health battles, and healing. Whether you are navigating retirement, raising a neurodivergent child, or just trying to figure out if you should fold or scrunch your toilet paper – there is a seat for you here.
The Firstborn & The Fixer. The corporate retiree and “Port in the Storm.” Kim brings the wisdom of the eldest, navigating caregiving for aging parents and the transition into retirement, all while trying to keep the chaos organized.
The Soul-Smart Creative. The “Alex P. Keaton” of the family. A musician and protector who loves differently and deeply. Kris brings the softer lens, the intuition, and the reminder that the world makes more sense when we listen to our hearts first.
The Advocate & Educator. Retired principal, mother to a neurodivergent son, and the one who eloped to Vegas. Kelly brings the perspective of navigating the school system, celebrating life’s non-traditional paths, and finding the “superpower” in cleaning.
The Resilient Gen-Xer. Born on the cusp of the 60s and 70s, Kathie is the observant cancer survivor who learned to “suck it up, buttercup.” She brings the attitude that it’s okay to do life differently, as long as you keep moving forward.
The Unfiltered Warrior. Young widow, breast cancer survivor, and fitness fanatic with an ADHD brain. Kerry brings the dark humor, the blunt truth, and the proof that you can be in immense pain and experience extreme joy at the exact same time.
The Millennial Baby. Born in ’85 and wondering “Who is Alex P. Keaton?” Katie represents the stressed-out working mom trying to do it all while battling stage 3 breast cancer. She brings the anxiety, the humor, and the modern perspective to the table.
